An introduction to python-based network analysis with the networkx package
This workshop introduces participants to networkx - the most popular network analysis library in Python.
Helge Marahrens (PhD candidate, Sociology, IUB) will introduce the general syntax and most useful functions of networkx before teaching participants how to set up networks from data, generate random networks, analyze their properties, and visualize the results. While the workshop is open to anyone, comparisons will be made to R's network libraries for advanced users who seek to understand how Python can improve their network analysis workflow.
Prerequisites: a rudimentary knowledge of Python.
This workshop will be held on-line, with a limited number of seats available in-person. Both attendance options require registration. Click here to register.
